Where everything starts
For Selene, the Sartoria (Tailor Lab) is the place where everything starts, where the creative process comes to life without drawing, directly on the mannequin, without logic, instinctively, without rules or thinking. The outfit simply happens to be.
Having an artistic background, she moulds the fabric as if it were clay, creating directly on the mannequin the shape that will give form to the clothing. This is why the outfit will be and remain unique, done without paper pattern and without tailoring rules.
Other creations, originate from the same creative process, but in order to reproduce them it becomes essential to obtain the paper pattern, once the outfit is done
Drawing is, in the creative process of Selene, the last step.
This work method allows a complete freedom of creation, without constraints, without rules.
